Chiccarella speaks the language of Calabrian tradition and folklore. She recalls the moments of popular celebration that unites the community in a sense of carefree lightness.
The villages are colored, loom covered adorn the balconies of the historic centers, sparkling lights illuminate the excited faces of the little ones.
Chiccarella, in particular, re-elaborates the moment of folk dance when the dancers gather in a circle with their hands clasped at the waist and like peacocks let their clothes float in hypnotic movements.
It is joy, it is sharing, it is the desire to pass on moments of tradition to the new generations.
